A few days ago this blog mentioned grumpy mortgage broker Ron Butler. It was the first mention in several months stemming from his rise on social media as Goofy Chicken Little. Well, not so little.
“What is certain is that things are going to get worse in Ontario. There is no possibility of improvement,” he told an MSM reporter. “If you look at it another way, it’s entirely hopium-based.” He says rising unemployment, falling immigration, Trump and lots of mortgage extensions at higher interest rates are the reasons.
Ron has 56,000 Insta followers and 112,000 on TikTok, partly because he drops a lot of F-bombs (the Zees like that), hates governments (and immigration), and constantly claims that the old are screwing over the young. One of his first social media mentions was on this blog. Then he got weird. He recently banned me from commenting on his X feed (I never did) and then banned me as a follower (poor Ron).
