TThis week there were two stories about artificial intelligence (AI) and the work of translators that illustrate how technology is changing the publishing ecosystem, perhaps both negatively and positively.
As Talita Facchini noted in her year-end article, “Amid rapid technological change, 2025 also brought renewed attention to one of the most important – and often underserved – communities in publishing: translators.”
