YouTube is discontinuing AI movie trailers

YouTube has reportedly terminated two well-known channels that use artificial intelligence to create fake movie trailers.

According to The Wrap, both India-based Screen Culture and Georgia-based KH Studio have over a billion views and over two million subscribers.

Some of their creations outperformed the official trailer in YouTube search results and deceived YouTube viewers.

The networks were known for producing teasers and trailers for films, many of which were based on famous IPs. Both channels were reportedly removed after repeatedly violating YouTube’s policies on spam and misleading metadata.

A spokesman told the news agency:
