Meta’s AI incorrectly bans Australian companies

The timing coincides with Australia’s under-16 social media ban coming into effect on December 10, with Meta set to begin removing teen users from Thursday. Enforcement relies in part on the same AI systems that flag innocent users.

Morton said his account – @bradymortonnn – was initially restored with an apology and then permanently suspended again hours later for the same alleged violation. He paid Meta Verified to access support, but made little progress.
