The Rush to AI: Quick Fix, Impending Crisis, or Emerging Opportunity

When Corporate Travel Management’s Jonathan Nelson struggled to find the right words and then blurted out that he was suffering from AI fatigue, it was only Day 1 of the Festival of Aviation Corporate Travel Summit (FACTS) at the Sydney ICC this week. Everyone watching the panel sighed in agreement.

If Peter Harbison, the founder of CAPA and Greener Airlines and FACTS initiator, has proven anything with his new annual gathering of business travel, meetings and events, travel payments and aviation professionals, it is that many of us are suffering from AI fatigue, but AI is an acronym that no one can ignore and that must be carefully integrated into daily operations.

“I understand that it is an important part of what we deliver going forward and CTM is absolutely on that scale,” Nelson continued. “But I think we also need the human focus and the introduction of the new generation.”
