Google announced the Pixel 8 series almost 9 months ago, but Zoom Enhance, a new feature teased at the Made by Google Keynote ’23, has yet to arrive. This technology uses AI to add detail to photos at the extremes of the Pixel 8 Pro’s zoom range, without over-sharpening or softening the image. While some may question the timing of this release, due to concerns about AI and its impact on photography, others are excited about the potential for better zoomed images without compromising image quality. It remains to be seen how users will react to this new feature once it finally becomes available.
