Cornerback Tyson Campbell was ranked among the top 32 cornerbacks by Focus on professional football, while safeties Andre Cisco and Darnell Savage were both ranked among the top 32 safeties by PFF.

Cisco has been consistent throughout his three NFL seasons, with overall PFF grades between 67.0 and 69.0. In 2023, he showed improvement in coverage and earned a career-high 71.5 coverage grade thanks to four interceptions. On the other hand, Savage has had a more up and down career. He had a strong 2020 season but saw his overall grades drop below 60.0 in consecutive seasons, ranking 87th among safeties in 2022.

Savage had a career-high 75.5 overall grade in his final season in Green Bay, ranking 15th at the position. In contrast, Cisco has been a playmaker for the Jaguars defense over the past two years, starting all 30 games and recording seven interceptions, 15 pass deflections, 135 tackles, two tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks.

Savage spent five years with the Packers, recording 302 tackles, nine tackles for loss, one sack, 32 pass breakups, and nine interceptions. In 2023, he appeared in 10 games for the Packers, recording 51 tackles and five pass deflections. The Jaguars’ defensive coordinator, Ryan Nielsen, praised Savage’s versatility and highlighted his ability to line up at nickel, at safety, and in man coverage situations.

Nielsen expressed his excitement about having Savage on the team and praised the front office for bringing him in. He emphasized Savage’s adaptability and eagerness to learn the defensive system. Nielsen looks forward to working with Savage and finding ways to maximize his skills on the field.
