Gigabyte recently showcased the latest generation of motherboards from Intel and AMD at Computex, unveiling the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Extreme for the AMD Granite Ridge Ryzen 9000 Series Chips. While the AMD boards were less mysterious, the Intel ones left more questions unanswered.

Intel’s mysterious “next-gen Z Aero G” board was covered in white tape, but clues on the board hinted at a potential Z890 motherboard. The board had an Intel badge on the socket, and the CPU retention clip was labeled “LGA 1851”, matching the number of pins on the new Intel CPU socket. The board’s name card also hinted at Z890 compatibility for Intel’s Arrow Lake chips.

The Gigabyte Ice range of boards and the white Aero board were aesthetically pleasing, with clean lines and simple styling. Additionally, the reverse connector boards, previously known as Project Stealth, were in action again after legal issues were resolved. Many case makers at Computex expressed support for the reverse connection feature.

All in all, Gigabyte’s new motherboards offer a blend of innovative design and improved functionality for both AMD and Intel processors, promising an exciting future for PC builders and gamers.
