Widespread Microsoft Outage Leads to Bing, Copilot, DuckDuckGo, and ChatGPT Search Services Going Down

A recent Microsoft outage has impacted various services, including Bing.com, Copilot, ChatGPT, and DuckDuckGo. The outage started at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time and mainly affected users in Asia and Europe. Users trying to access Bing.com encountered a blank page or HTTP code 429 error. Despite this, Bing’s search function remained operational when accessed through a specific URL. Copilot services were completely offline on all platforms, including the website, app, and Windows integration.

Additionally, ChatGPT internet search and DuckDuckGo also experienced outages due to their reliance on the Bing API. DuckDuckGo users encountered an error message while trying to search. Microsoft has not issued a statement regarding the outage, but OpenAI acknowledged ChatGPT’s internet search issues on its Support page.
