25% of teachers use AI, but it’s not clear if students are benefiting

Teachers are dabbling in artificial intelligence tools, but AI adoption isn’t yet having a big impact on the classroom, according to a new RAND report.

The report found a quarter of teachers and nearly 60% of principals use AI tools.

But use is uneven across subject matters and levels of wealth or poverty at the schools.

Even teachers who use AI don’t use it often.
