A new version of macOS, called macOS Sequoia, is set to launch soon, bringing new features such as iPhone display mirroring on MacBooks. Two key features that will not be available on Intel MacBooks with macOS Sonoma are related to Apple Intelligence. The first feature is live audio transcriptions in Notes, where AI automatically transcribes spoken notes within the Apple Notes app. This feature is exclusive to MacBooks with an M1 chip or higher. The second feature is Apple’s AI initiative, which includes partnerships with ChatGPT and possibly Google Gemini. This initiative will only work with Apple chips due to the absence of a neural engine in Intel chips. This means that users with slightly older iPhones and iPads will also be unable to access this feature.
While macOS Sequoia promises exciting new features, it is important to note that these features may not be available to all MacBook users, particularly those with Intel chips.
