2 Degrees Taps HPE for Private AI Platform

New Zealand telecommunications company 2 Degrees has turned to HPE to develop a private AI platform that “modernizes and simplifies” the operator’s IT operations and provides it with a secure and sovereign data management system.

2 Degrees is the country’s third largest telecommunications company (behind Spark and One NZ) with around 2.3 million customers in total for its energy and mobile broadband services, and Annual revenue of NZ$1.39 billion. ($825 million).

Like other telecom companies around the world, you want a simple, consolidated and secure IT system that can make you more efficient, improve your corporate performance and allow you to take advantage of AI applications.

The operator is working with HPE to develop a “purpose-built private AI platform” based on HPE Private Cloud AI, a solution that has been co-developed with AI tech giant Nvidia.
