Intel got a big upgrade for its 11th generation Core vPro processors to protect against hardware-level security threats.
At the CES 2021The company announced that its new business-centric processors will offer built-in discovery capabilities Ransomware, which is considered to be one of the most powerful cyberthreats today.
Technologies such as Intel Threat Detection (TDT) and Hardware Shield run directly on the CPU and offer ready-to-use protection, regardless of the software, firmware and operating system layer.
Intel also announced a new partnership with security company Cybereason, which will integrate Intel TDT into its security platform in the coming months. According to both companies, this is the first example of hardware that is used to detect the presence of ransomware.
